The Ocean Beach Community Development Corporation (OBCDC) is a community-based nonprofit organization dedicated to housing affordability, economic opportunities for local residents and businesses, and the enhancement of O.B.'s unique character with respect for the environment.
Our History
The Ocean Beach Community Development Corporation (OBCDC) is a not-for-profit 501 (c) (3) organization created for the benefit of the Ocean Beach community. Started in 1993 by a group of concerned Ocean Beach residents and business people, the members of the OBCDC shared one goal - to improve OUR community. The main objective then is the same as today - to develop resources for revitalizing the infrastructure of Ocean Beach with the Ocean Beach spirit.
The OBCDC members work with government agencies, private foundations and individual donors to create and/or coordinate resources for revitalization projects benefiting the Ocean Beach community. After more than a decade of successful projects (LINK), the OBCDC has become an integral part of Ocean Beach and will continue to do so with the help and support of the community.
