Ocean Beach Entryway Projects Continue to Make Improvements: January 2009 Update

Utilizing the grants received from the County of San Diego, we have been able to install new signage and make further enhancements to the Entryway medians.  The purpose of the new signs are to help raise awareness for the Gateway Park project, describing its current status and fundraising efforts. The signs can be seen along the median on Sunset Cliffs Blvd. and the Gateway Park site at the corner of Sunset Cliffs Blvd. and West Point Loma Blvd.  The latest median enhancements include the de-weeding and installation of irrigation timers. The remaining plants needed to finish the medians have also been ordered. We have allocated part of the grant funds for the continued maintenance of the medians.

Special thanks to Tony George with Point Loma Landscape and Ron Marcotte with Sign Diego! They have been integral to helping the OBCDC complete these latest improvements to the Entryway.
