Affordable Housing Initiatives
Since our inception, the Ocean Beach Community Development Corporation has worked to strengthen and preserve the community we call home. Affordable housing has been part of that mission from the beginning, with OBCDC supporting initiatives that help create and preserve housing opportunities for Ocean Beach residents.
From early efforts such as Becky’s House to more recent partnerships supporting affordable and supportive housing, OBCDC has continued to recognize that a vibrant community depends on people being able to remain safely and securely housed.
Coordinated Eviction Prevention System (CEPS) Program
OBCDC is partnering with City Heights Community Development Corporation (City Heights CDC) to connect Ocean Beach residents with resources through the Coordinated Eviction Prevention System (CEPS) Program. CEPS is designed to support eligible low-income households in San Diego County and help renters avoid reaching the point of receiving an eviction notice. Support can include case management and other wraparound services tailored to each household's needs.
If you or someone you know is facing housing challenges, we encourage you to learn more about the program and see if you may qualify. Eligible households must live in San Diego County, not currently have an eviction notice, and meet the program's income requirements. Please note that CEPS is not a rental assistance program.
